Simple solar chargers are now available for your phone, tablet, computer and other small devices.  Some solar chargers are actually the case for your device while others are external to your device. But remember – not every solar charger is made the same regardless of the claims they make.

When considering buying a solar charger you need to decide what you want to use it for.  Things to consider are output power, weight, versatility and easy use. In other words you need to consider more than just the watt/power rating of the charger you are looking at. You need to consider how you want to connect your device to charge such as a USB port and how many ports do you want. Not every solar charger produces enough power to charge a laptop. Be sure you do your homework and compare chargers to buy the one you need.
